Baby Cable Rib (mostly)

Finished!

Baby Cable Rib Socks 028

Needles - Knit Picks US 2 (2.75mm); Knit 2 at a time on 2 circulars
CO 9/9/07; Closed the toes today! (10/24/07 )

A very enjoyable knit. I made the foot portion stockinette to be sure I didn't run out of yarn since these are a gift. I grin with glee at the thought that I have hundreds more socks to make from this book!

Slipstitch Ribs

Finally, another completed pair.

The stitch pattern is Slipstitch Rib, but I used the toe-up short row toe/heel "recipe" to maximize yarn. Paton's Kroy yarn, 2 skeins of the main color, about 1/2 a skein of the contrast. I loved the Slipstitch Rib; really easy, not too dull, and a nicely textured final result.

More details and pictures, as usual, at the blog.

Seriously Overdue Post

Here's a picture of my "basket weave socks" from SKS. I should have posted this one a long time ago. I used 2 skeins of Collinette Jitterbug in Castagna- took me a while because they're size 13 (mens)!
