Woven Stitch

The second pair of socks from SKS:


Woven Stitch socks made with two balls of ??? knitted with size ??? needles in ??? days. Size 7 1/2 feet. :) Yes, I'm sorry to say I have no idea what the specs are for these socks, but I must say that I love them. Love love love! They are soft and warm and a bit larger in gauge than I usually knit, I think. And I really like the colors even though I usually do not use variagated yarns. They are very similar to the Basketweave Rib that several other people have posted about, but with a smaller unit (2x2). I also really like the garter stitch border to the heel flap. Here's a closeup of the pattern:


Can you see it? You don't need your eyes checked - the photo is in fact slightly blurry. But, a new camera has just arrived, so beautiful clear photos are in the cards!

Ribbed Lace, Chain Rib and Elongated Corded RibSocks

Greetings from Atlanta! I joined this KAL several weeks ago, but I am only now posting pictures of my SKS socks.




First, here are the Ribbed Lace Socks in Trekking XXL (Colorway 100). I knit these one at a time on 2 circulars (2.00 mm Addi Turbo).










Here is one of the Chain Link Socks that I knit for my DH in early March 2006. I used the Cedar colorway in Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock on 2.50 mm Addi Turbo circulars.




I did not enjoy knitting the pattern that came with my Rockin' Sock Club kit in July, so I used the Elongated Corded Rib pattern with the STR Peaseblossom colorway on 2.50 mm Addi Turbo circulars. The pooling is a bit weird, but that's what you get with handpainted yarns. I love them anyway!

I really do love the SKS book, and I am now working on another pair of SKS socks for my DSIL's birthday in December.

Harebell Lace

Hello!

I have been a member of this group since April and I am embarrassed to say that I have nothing posted to date. This is about the change! I have so far completed 3 pairs of socks from that beloved book, Sensational Knitted Socks. Here is the most recent pair:


The Harebell Lace pattern! These socks were knitted with Merinomix 50 Madil (50% fine merino/50% pac dralon) 3 skeins, 136yds/skein, using 5 US size 00 needles. My gauge was 9 stitches and 11 rows per inch and I cast on 66 stitches for a US size 8 woman's shoe. (I know that many people will think that is an insane gauge and needle size to knit at, but I love the refined look of small stitches.) More photos and info is on my blog - please visit! These took me quite a while to finish, but I love love love them!

Neat pattern. Works really well with the nearly solid Lorna's Laces. Another winner!

I absolutely love these socks. This pattern is so easy, but looks so great with variegated yarns. I'm sure I'll be doing it again and again. Here's a little close-up shot of the garter stitch edged heel -

Welt Fantastic with Modifications

I finished one sock of the Welt Fantastic. Can't start the mate until I see if it fits the sockee.
