question of the week

How did you start making socks?

I had never knit socks until my SP9 pal sent me the SKS book, DPN's and 2 skeins of sock yarn, I am now hooked :) They are probably one of my favorite things to knit :)

I knit one aran sock while on vacation over ten years ago and never got around to making its mate. That sock is the one I hang by the chimney with care in hopes...well, you get the idea. Not until I discovered Trekking XXL a year or so ago did I find the will to take up sock knitting again. Now that I have SKS (it's my only sock book), I won't stop until I've done all the patterns in it I love.
