Waffle socks

I've been a slow sock knitter lately, but just finished my first pair from SKS. I used Socks that Rock in the "Pebble Beach" colorway for this pair, knit on two size 0 circulars with 72 stitches.

I used the waffle stitch pattern from page 38 in the book. Here's what it looks like closeup.

Thought I'd also show what I did to improve the usefuless of this book.

Yup, my copy is now spiral bound. I took it to Kinko's and they converted it for $5. As much as I think I'll used this volume, I think it's worth the cost!

Spiral binging? What a great idea! I think I'm going to have to do the same thing.

You socks are gorgeous. Love the yarn and the pattern!

Wow...you know, I honestly didn't like the Waffle Rib much before, but it looks great! I'm glad someone tried this pattern in a handdyed yarn. The effect is totally not what I expected.

Also, very smart idea about the binding!

Wow! I love the socks. That is a great idea about spiral binding the book. I'm going to have to find a place around where I live so I can have it done. I've finally used my book for something other than looking at (I've got to post a pic soon)and it was frustrating trying to keep the book open. Hope you don't mind if I use your idea and do it to my book too.

Hey woman, I'm sitting here working on some Chevron socks and fighting with the flipping book. I'm using every heavy object at arm's length to weight it down. I had my Eris pattern bound at Kinko's, and need to get over there to get this book done.

Thanks for the spiral binding idea. I went and had it done a couple days ago, and I love it.
